WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHT

 DFW Fall Conference

October 15-17th

“What you put in your mouth matters: Small and Simple Changes which have great results”
Food isn’t the enemy. There are so many choices and focusing on how your body responds to these choices and the feelings that contribute to them will change your health. Begin with small and simple changes and celebrate your success over time.
Presenter Meg Fitzgill, FNTP
As an FNTP (Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner) specialized in blood sugar regulation, Meg helps her clients identify what foods may be causing spikes in their blood sugar levels, then work with them on how to make better food choices for themselves and their families so they can feel more energized throughout the day without experiencing those highs and lows from too much sugar intake. Her goal is to empower you by teaching you how your body responds when you eat certain foods so that together we can find out what works best for YOU!
This conference is free but registration is required to help us plan or meals, workshops, acitivities, service projects etc.

"God is Mindful of Every Person"

“God is mindful of every people”, this includes you.  He knows you intimately, every trauma, heart break, hurt and transgression you have lived.  He is striving to bring to pass your eternal life.  His work and glory are your progression, development, and healing.  God anxiously awaits your next step towards Him, the same way a parent waits for their toddler to step into their arms.

The conference workshops have been prayerfully considered to offer you an opportunity to clarify your next step.  His arms are open, He awaits your next step.  There are 7 choices, you are invited to prayerfully consider which 3 of the 7 choices will be your next best step towards your loving Father in Heaven.  Each presenter was asked to consider sharing activities which will allow you experiences and space for personal inspiration from God as they lead you on a journey to a deeper relationship and understanding that God is mindful of YOU.

Conference Workshops:

“What Do Your Aches and Pains (and Other Symptoms) Want You to Know?”
Anne Redelfs

Have you ever paused to consider why your body symptoms are in your life? Perhaps you feel you know why you are hurting: “I had an injury“ or “I have a chronic illness!” Do you know there are emotional and spiritual reasons for your symptoms as well that are equally important to be aware of if you are to wholly treat the problem and enjoy lasting health?

"Am I Kind or Nice? And Why It Makes all the Difference" Kevin Hinckley

Kind people are rarely without friends. That kindness attracts others and makes the world just bit better. On the other hand, nice people can often feel lonely and taken advantage of. But being nice and being kind look alot alike. How can we recognize the difference?

"Personal Boundaries = Relationship Wellness: When Saying No Means Yes" Shannon Palmer

God is the perfect boundary maker.  He calls them commandments and they keep us safe from harm when we don’t yet see the whole picture.  Knowing who we are and where and what our boundaries are allows the development of a solid and lasting relationship with all the important people in our lives.

"Meditation for Mormons: Wax Boldly in Mighty Prayer" Mary Thomas

What would it mean to “wax boldly in mighty prayer” as the prophets in the Book of Mormon talk about?  Praying is talking to God and meditation is listening.  Experience the benefits of listening to God it will change your life.

"As A Man Thinketh So Is He - Create The Possibilities For Your Future" Doreen Milano

The scriptures repeat many times ask and you shall receive.  Knock and it shall be opened unto you.  Are you specific and clear in your requests?  This workshop will lead you to define the righteous desires of your heart and a pathway to follow to bring them to fruition.  Join Ms. Milano for a journey into your future with an artful journal experience.

"Breaking A Mental Sweat: How to Harness the Power of Your Mind to Build Your Temple" Joe Villegas

We all know exercise is important, and we all have an idea of what exercise is. So why is it that we generally know “what” to do, but we don’t do what we know? In this session attendees will learn how they can harness the power of their mind to make movement fun, accessible, and easy.
