SERVICE PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

 DFW Fall Conference

October 15-17th

There is a great saying "Many hand make light work"... and the Saturday morning of the conference will give you the chance to put this into action! Our conference theme is "God is mindful of All People" and our Saturday morning service projects give you a change to put into action "being mindful" of all people through service... We will meet for a Meet and Mingle breakfast 8:00-9:30 at the McKinney Stake Center 2801 Eldorado Parkway and then set off in groups for service projects. Here are the projects you can choose from. 1. Indexing at the Family History Center- The class can only handle 25 individuals. If you have a lap top bring it along there will be a limited number of desktop computers for use in the Family history center. If you have never done this.. never fear.. the McKinney Indexing experts will be there to walk you through it! 2. Our local Salvation army daily packs lunches for those in the shelter to take with them as they leave in the morning. We will spend time decorating brown lunch bags with pictures and enouraging words to help they through their day. No great skills required... but bring a few "encouraging phrases" with you to pass along via your art work. 3. The New Outreach Church at 506 Wilcox St McKinney TX 75069 is looking for help to put a fresh coat of white paint on the church. It will require some scrapping as well. The building will be powerwashed in prep for painting all we need is you in your painting clothes, a willing heart and a smile on your face. We will have all the supplies needed to get to work. If we get 30 people to sign up we can get it painted in the 3 hrs! REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE HERE:
